BeClearDesign was born from the collaboration of two worlds — a design-driven web developer and a real estate media entrepreneur. Together, we build digital experiences that look exceptional and drive measurable results.
How we started
Daniel Shi spent years building websites for design agencies and creative studios — learning what separates forgettable sites from the ones that genuinely move people. Michael Gatasi built BeClearMedia into Metro Vancouver’s go-to real estate media agency, working directly with realtors and brokerages who needed results, not just deliverables.
They kept crossing paths. Daniel built the BeClearMedia website. Michael kept sending clients who needed more than photography — they needed a web presence that matched the quality of their listings. The collaboration became a partnership, and BeClearDesign became its own thing.
The agency is rooted in design but informed by real-world business. We know what realtors need because we’ve served them for years. We know what design agencies expect because we’ve worked inside them. And we bring that dual perspective to every client we take on — whether they’re in real estate, creative services, or any industry that cares about how they show up online.

Daniel Shi
Co-Founder / Design & Development
Daniel is a frontend web developer and designer with a BSc in Interactive Arts & Technology from Simon Fraser University, where he graduated on the President's Honour Roll with a 4.0 GPA.
His career spans senior roles at design and creative agencies — including Senior UX/UI Designer at A-LAB Creative Agency and Director of Web Development at 005F Agency — along with development positions at Juice Group, Verscape Technology, and Pacific Northwest Group.
Daniel brings deep expertise in UX/UI design, web design, product design, and creative development. His portfolio includes work for real estate developers, media studios, dance studios, community organizations, and clean energy companies.
Michael Gatasi
Co-Founder / Strategy & Real Estate
Michael is the founder of BeClearMedia, a real estate photography and marketing agency based in Richmond, BC. He built BeClearMedia from the ground up into a trusted partner for realtors and brokerages across Metro Vancouver.
With years of hands-on experience in real estate marketing, Michael understands what agents and sellers need to move properties — compelling visuals, fast turnarounds, and marketing tools that actually convert.
He brings that same client-first, results-driven approach to BeClearDesign — ensuring every project is built not just to look good, but to perform in the real world.
